Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information OPRASAM collects, how we use it, and the choices available to merchants using our platform.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

1. Who we are

OPRASAM (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an online platform that helps local businesses in Ghana create a digital storefront, manage products, receive customer orders, and track basic business performance.

This Privacy Policy applies to merchants who create an OPRASAM account and to visitors who browse merchant storefronts hosted on our platform.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and authentication credentials managed through our identity provider (Supabase Auth).

Business and store data. This includes your business profile, storefront details, product listings, prices, descriptions, images, store status, and settings you choose to publish.

Customer order information. When a customer places an order through your storefront, we process details submitted in the checkout flow — typically name, phone number, optional notes, cart items, and order totals. Payment for customer product orders is handled offline between you and your customer unless you integrate separate payment methods outside OPRASAM.

Subscription and billing data. If you subscribe to OPRASAM, payment processing is handled by Paystack. We store subscription status, plan details, billing period information, and payment references needed to activate and maintain your account. We do not store your full card or mobile-money credentials on our servers.

Usage and technical data. We may collect basic operational data such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and error logs to keep the service secure and reliable. We do not currently run advanced advertising or third-party marketing analytics on the merchant dashboard.

3. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage your merchant account
  • Host your storefront and display your products to customers
  • Process and display customer orders in your dashboard
  • Provide revenue summaries and basic business insights
  • Process subscription payments and manage plan access
  • Respond to support requests and improve platform reliability
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents

4. Cookies and session handling

OPRASAM uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect your account, and remember session preferences. These are essential for authentication and core platform functionality.

We do not use cookies to sell your personal information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the dashboard.

5. Payment processing (Paystack)

Merchant subscription payments are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment provider. When you pay for a plan, Paystack collects payment information according to its own privacy policy and security standards.

OPRASAM receives confirmation of successful payments and limited transaction metadata (such as amount, currency, reference, and email) needed to activate your subscription.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only when necessary to operate the service, including with:

  • Infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage)
  • Paystack for subscription billing
  • Legal or safety requirements when required by applicable law or to protect users and the platform

Your public storefront displays only the business and product information you choose to publish.

7. Data retention

We retain account, business, and order data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data where reasonably possible, subject to legal and operational retention requirements (for example, billing records).

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices appropriate for an early-stage SaaS product, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access controls, and database security policies.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and using a strong password.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, or to object to specific processing. To make a request, contact us at hello@oprasam.com.

You can update much of your business profile and account details directly from your dashboard settings.

10. Children's privacy

OPRASAM is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate.

Continued use of OPRASAM after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
